Transforming trauma for children and families
Our focus is on equipping parents, nurturing children, and restoring the mind and body. We believe every child and family member deserves to be:
- seen,
- heard,
- valued.
Our Nurture Program increases a child’s social and emotional functioning through participation in Life Skills Groups and a developmental learning program.
Our Equip Program gives families the necessary tools to achieve trusting relationships with their children by teaching Trust-Based Relational Intervention® curriculum.
Our Wellness Program educates families about the direct correlation between the level of the body’s biological functioning and its ability to heal from the adverse effects of trauma.
NEW Roots is a trauma-informed non-profit that is focused on restoring, transforming, and providing hope and healing to children and families affected by trauma. With Trust-Based Relational Intervention® at our core, NEW Roots will nurture families by providing therapeutic groups, will equip parents by educating them on TBRI®, and will provide community resources to uphold our passion for wellness.
Young children exposed to five or more significant adverse experiences in the first three years of childhood face a 76% likelihood of having one or more delays in their language, emotional or brain development.
